Sylvia Edwards, Adamsville Elementary Title I interventionist, received her certificate as an National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) from  keynoter and special guest Dr. Ron Thorpe, national board president of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Washington, D.C.  There were 30 teachers so honored from eight different school systems January 25 at the Alabama Theatre.  JefCoEd's foundation was the host for the occasion.
