Janet Hagood, director of Federal Programs, held an intense one-day meeting getting the Title I schools ready for their week-long monitoring session this coming February.
Monitoring usually occurs every three years and is a federal check to see if what is on paper is what is actually for students in Title I schools.
There were three meetings: December 2, 6, 9 to prep our schools. JEFCOED has 23 Title Schools and the idea was to keep each of the three meetings small with more conversation and questions. The purpose of the three pre-monitoring meetings was simply to bring to the forefront in memory what a school is already doing, keeping it conversational, and being at ease in the week-long monitoring sessions this coming February.
Attending are school administrators, counselors, teachers, and financial secretaries. The meeting was interactive and had lots of good information shared.
