Bus Driver Checklist

Drivers will be required to attend a mandatory meeting and must bring the items marked with an asterisk (*) to attend the first meeting.

❏ Obtain a CDL Class B or Permit with P & S endorsement *
❏ Complete an Alabama School Bus Driver Physical or DOT Physical *
❏ Complete a Background Check *
❏ Copy of Social Security Card *
❏ Complete an application on www.jefcoed.com
❏ Register an AIM account, then complete an Alabama School Bus Driver
❏ Certification
❏ Receive a minimum of 12 hours training from our local school system
❏ Attend a 12-hour ALSDE New Bus Certification Class
