Brighton School celebrated our amazing principal, Mrs. Bryant, for National Principals Month yesterday. There is no way we could repay her for her hard work and dedication but we rolled out the red carpet so she could feel like the shining star she is!
Mrs. Bryant was called to the fifth grade hallway at 8:30. Expecting a great disruption from students, she turned the corner only to find the entire student body had gathered in the hall to celebrate her. The look on her face said it all. The song, "Before I Let Go" by Beyonce, was played as Mrs. Bryant made her way down the hall. Students stood on both sides and cheered her on. At the end of the hall, in the Home Economics room, she had another great surprise!
Several teachers worked together to decorate the Home Economics room in such a way that she felt like a star! Her picture was hung on the wall and was surrounded by stars. She walked down the red carpet and was told that staff would be preparing her favorite foods onsite! The menu consisted of fried chicken, meatballs, spinach dip, tossed salad with toppings, pasta salad, fresh fruit, chips and dips, crackers, a variety of drinks, and a beautiful cake. Colorful LED lights flickered around the room and a video of students expressing their love and gratitude for Mrs. Bryant played on the ViewSonic.
Mrs. Bryant was presented with a gift basket that the entire faculty contributed to. Faculty and staff were able to stop by the Home Economics room to join the celebration on their break times. Many paused for a photo op or time to dance with Mrs. Bryant to the music. It was definitely a day of great food, fun, and fellowship for our amazing Principal!
