Some of Brighton School’s scholars, parents, and staff participated in the Veteran’s Day 5K hosted by Girls on the Run Birmingham this morning! The girls had to be at Railroad Park by 7am and the race started at 8am.
Fourth grader, Dana Ray Bell, was the first of our girls to cross the finish line!
A huge THANK YOU goes to Mrs. Colvert, Ms. Burnett, Ms. Nkereuwem, and Julia Lucas for preparing the girls weekly for the race. We also send a great shout out to Mrs. Bryant,
Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Lucas, Mrs. Williams, Ms. Reed, and Mrs. Davis for coming out to show their support! Mrs. Lucas even ran in the race! You all are the BRIGHTON in Brighton!
