Hueytown football assistant coach named state Broyles Award winner

Hueytown assistant football coach Scott Glenn was recently announced as the Broyles Award winner for Alabama.

Glenn coaches offensive line for the Gophers, helping Hueytown to an 8-4 record and seventh straight trip to the playoffs during his time as an assistant coach.

“Coach Glenn is a special person,” said Hueytown head coach Greg Patterson. “His work ethic and love for our players is unmatched. The heart and soul he puts into our program is just a testament to the type of man he is on and off the field.

“Hueytown is blessed to have him and I personally am honored to call him a close friend.”

Glenn played football at Enterprise for Bill Bacon and at North Alabama for Bobby Wallace and Bill Hyde. He was head coach at Headland 2015 and 2016 and came to Hueytown in 2017.
