PV Mariachi will perform to kick off the PV Parent Breakout Night! You do not want to miss a performance by one of the most unique student band groups in the state! Many thanks to Mr. Wilemon’s Spanish III students for creating our Spanish event flyer! Mark your calendars to join us February 13th from 6-7pm for a fun and informative parent breakout night! We will be offering mini-sessions on a variety of topics and you get to choose the ones most helpful to you and your student(s). These will include grade level sessions with PV counselors with information from welcome to high school through graduation requirements, test prep information and take home materials, make-one-take-one STEM kits for all ages, and much more! PV ESL staff will also host sessions in Spanish to better assist our Hispanic families. Most sessions will have valuable materials for you to take to help assist in your student’s success. We will also have local food trucks on site for you to grab dinner before or after the event! We look forward to seeing you February 13th!

Many of us went to sleep on Thursday night, thinking it wouldn't happen after all. And then it did!! The JEFCOED family enjoyed a beautiful snow day on Friday.❄️☃️ Thank you to all of those who sent in pictures. Your smiles and joy warmed our hearts. Pinson Valley High will be closed Friday, January 10th due to the threat of winter weather.

Congratulations to Renae Pieper for being chosen as the November/December PVHS Teacher of the Month!!!
Mrs. Pieper was nominated by Alicia Houston! Alicia said "I want to nominate this teacher because she is always sweet to me and has such a kind spirit.." Congratulations Mrs. Pieper!


See some of the sights from the PV Festival of Trees! Student and faculty groups from across campus showed their school and holiday spirit with uniquely decorated trees! Theater, The Marching Chiefs, Choir, Exceptional Education, CNP, Counseling, Spanish Club, Engineering, Dance and Color Guard, Front Office staff, Cosmetology, Art, FBLA, NEHS, and the Math Department all participated!











So much fun to see PV's future entrepreneurs in Coach Holifield's NAF Academy of Finance class present their Brand Marketing Extension Plans! Students participated in a Shark Tank style presentation to faculty with their business pitches!







This morning, the Alabama Department of Education approved a resolution recognizing Dr. Walter B. Gonsoulin, Jr. as the 2025 Alabama Superintendent of the Year!! Dr. Gonsoulin serves State School Board Districts Three, Four, and Seven with heart, vision, and determination. We couldn't be prouder of his leadership.
Congratulations, Dr. Gonsoulin! You've made us all #JEFCOEDProud!





Congratulations to Pinson alum and State Champion Zach Pyron for his commitment to continue his educational and athletic journey for the University of Minnesota! Good luck Zach and Go Gophers!


Braydon Sepeda was selected as the Academy of Craft Training November Employee of the Month for Electrical! He scored the highest score based on their ACT employability scale this month and received a gift from their campus partners!
Braydon is also an early graduate, has multiple interviews this week, has perfect attendance, and will be starting a full time job with an electrical industry partner in the next couple of weeks! Congratulations Braydon on all your hard work!


The No-Miss November party was a great way to celebrate the hundreds of PV students who are dedicated to school attendance! We hope to have even more students qualify for our next attendance contest in the spring!









HOSA Christmas Olympics was a huge success and so much fun! HOSA organized and led the festivities with fun and games for students all while collecting hundreds of toys for Children's of Alabama!











The PVHS Mu Alpha Theta math honor society traveled to Pinson Elementary to help 2nd grade students with math skills! Another fantastic collaboration between PV and PES!











Career Prep students had Mock Interviews Day in Coach Madison's class. Students created businesses that included job flyers and students then posted resumes and interviewed with each company! This provided students valuable real world job experiences!






Thank you to Russ Cofield and the Academy of Craft Training for recruiting PVHS sophomores and juniors to open doors to amazing career opportunities!
