Congratulations to our Pleasant Grove Middle School Band on receiving SUPERIOR ratings at our Music Performance Assessment today!! They worked so hard this year and achieved the tremendous milestone of the highest rating (Superior) nearly across the board. Music is happening in the Grove!!


Career & Community Resource Fair: Lawson State Community College will host the annual Career & Community Resource Fair which will take place at the Bessemer Civic Center on Wednesday, March 12th from 9am-12noon. There will be upwards of 50 employers in attendance to provide employment and internship opportunities. This event is open to high school students, college students, and the community! This morning, the Alabama Department of Education approved a resolution recognizing Dr. Walter B. Gonsoulin, Jr. as the 2025 Alabama Superintendent of the Year!! Dr. Gonsoulin serves State School Board Districts Three, Four, and Seven with heart, vision, and determination. We couldn't be prouder of his leadership.
