This powerful story recounts the 1963 Birmingham Children's Crusade, where thousands of young people marched for civil rights. It highlights the bravery and determination of children who stood up for justice, making a lasting impact on history.

Let The Children March was filmed at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and features special guest Mary Cotchery, Valyndra's mother and a dedicated volunteer at Brighton School.


Sing a Song, How โ€œLift Every Voice and Singโ€ Inspired Generations

This story traces the journey of the song "Lift Every Voice and Sing" through five generations of families, illustrating its lasting impact as a symbol of hope and resilience. The song has connected many people during pivotal moments in history, becoming a powerful anthem for the Black community and beyond.

Our read-aloud was filmed from inside the historic 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Brown is accompanied by the Shades Valley and JCIB mixed ensemble. Dr. Brad Robertson, Principal of Bragg Middle School, provides talent on the piano.


Whoosh๐Ÿ’ฆ Lonnie Johnson's Super-Soaking Stream of Inventions
